To Pretoria High Court

As a community of the Sedibeng Region In Gauteng Province we have had a problem with the leader of the Rivers Of Living Waters Ministry Arch Bishop Stephen Bafana Zondo since 2011. There has been allegations of rape of young girls and adult females within his church and rape cases where opened against him and he has never appeared in court to face the criminal acts of leveled against him before. Now that the Pretoria High Court is in a position to prosecute and make a Judgment as to whether the Arch Bishop Stephen Bafana Zondo is guilty or not of the allegation leveled against him.

We are submitting this petition to the Pretoria High Court that as the Community of Emfuleni where his Main Church is. We do not want Arch Bishop Stephen Bafana Zondo to come back to the community as a religious community leader or a respectable member of the community.

An example should be made of him because more and more men of the cloth in the religious fraternity seem to be taking advantage of their flock and abusing their spiritual powers over their followers. Our country cannot be fight Gender Based Violence on the streets and within the churches as well. Churches should be safe havens for those who choose to attend them. 

We are appealing to the court to do everything in its power to protect the women and his victims. We do know that most of the evidence is circumstancial as it is with many cases in this country. We demand that he be prosecuted on pattern and modus operandi of his charges and grant him the harsh sentence.
