Because I am frustrated at the way things are at the FCC. I want to see change. So far, men have failed. I think a woman who would have the public's interest at heart would yield good results.

Our airwaves have been completely controlled by corporate interests. At least we should have one half of the population represented at the FCC.

Dear Mr. Obama,
Our progressive talk-show hosts and commentators have been recently losing their spots on the airwaves to where we are no longer hearing them on the local radio stations. This trend needs to end and we need to have them brought back to our local radio stations.

During the course of my job, I spend a lot of hours of drive time on the road, which has been the only time I have gotten to list to them. I now have none of them to listen to here in the Puget Sound area of Washington state. I am an independent. It was because of the information they provided me with that I voted twice for you, as well as many other people in this area.

Without the voices of our progressive talk-show hosts and commentators on the airwaves, our democracy and freedoms, as we and the previous generations have always known and enjoyed and who many of our fellow countrymen and country women have given their lives for, are doomed.

Whoever controls the media also controls the outcomes of our elections. We need a genuinely patriotic person who truly cares about the American general public to be nominated to be chair of our Federal Communications Commission and not someone who puts corporate profits before the best interests of the American people.

Thanks for adding your voice.

All of society around the world is made up of men and women. I'm very tired of hearing prominently the male point of view, e.g male jokes, male macho, male violence, male language, male visions, male views of women, and the general lack of respect for girls and women as portrayed by the media. Females in this country make up the majority It is time for women to have some say from their prospective on all issues.
