A Sincere Appeal to the President of the United States of America

Dear Mr. President,

Your decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital, and to move the US embassy there, places you on the wrong side of justice.

Israel must follow the UN mandate to end its occupation of East Jerusalem and of the lands it annexed in the 1967 war. Please refer to the Fourth Geneva Convention, and UN resolutions 476 and 478 which appeal to that convention. UN Resolution 478 specifically rejects Israel's declaration of Jerusalem as its capital, and calls on member states who have embassies in that city to withdraw therefrom.

Your declaration thus explicitly opposes that of the international community.

We are asking you as the president of the United States to stand up for justice by reversing your December 6 declaration and by demanding that Israel adheres to the above stated convention and UN resolutions.

This way, you will truly make America great again -- not only in its might, but also in standing up for what's right.

Sincerely,

Signed by the following concerned citizens and organizations:
