PETITION TO MAKE "CHILDRENS DAY" A NATIONAL HOLIDAY

A national holiday to honor children all over the United States who are victims of murder and/or abuse of any kind, as well as children who are missing, whether it be by stranger abduction, or non-custodial parental abduction. We believe this should be a PAID holiday recognized by all employers , as well as the government. Hard working Americans can celebrate "Children's Day" by receiving a paid day off to spend time with their children, grandchildren, nieces, or nephews. People who are childless, as well as those that have children are urged to give some of their time on this day to donate some time or services to a children's organization. We propose "Children's Day" to be celebrated every year on August 9, the day Caylee was born. Children are a gift, a treasure and also OUR future. Let's take this day to make a difference in a child's life!
