Petition Closed

Bishop Elysee is a very influential religious leader, featured in a 49 minutes video, making a call to all of his 'combatants' in UK, France, Belgium, USA, Canada, South Africa and Congo, to kill all Tutsis wherever they are. He is also providing his combatants with addresses of specific families in the Congo, insisting and ordering that Tutsi families, their children, wives and those with Tutsi descent or affinity, must be destroyed. He makes biblical references to describe his terrorist and genocidal organization, COMBATTANT, as an ‘invisible operation’ with the main mission to identify wherever Tutsis live in the world and kill them. This is done in pursuance of the ideology that no Tutsi Congolese should be allowed to live in the DRC. As the war between government soldiers and rebels is undergoing in the DR Congo, there have been attacks and threats to tutsi in several parts of North Kivu Province, especially in Goma, and hateful speaches are escalating in several media around the country.

“Call to prevent a looming genocide against Tutsi in Eastern Congo”

“Call to prevent a looming genocide against Tutsi in Eastern Congo”
New York, July 10, 2012--Mahoro Association, an organization dedicated to peace and social wellbeing of every citizen of the Democratic Republic of Congo, without discrimination on the basis of ethnic origin, condemns in its strongest terms, a call made by Bishop Elysee Pade Mulolo, inciting genocide against Tutsi people. Bishop Elysee issued this dangerous and hateful statement in Johannesburg, South Africa, last month on videos currently in circulation on internet.
He makes biblical references to describe his terrorist and genocidal networks of "combattants", as an ‘invisible operation’ with the main mission to identify wherever Tutsis live in the world and kill them. This is done in pursuance of the ideology that no Tutsi Congolese should be allowed to live in the DRC.
This is an extremely serious incitement to genocide, which may lead to massive killings of Tutsis, similar to the 1998 Congolese Tutsi massacres. These resulted from another hateful and genocidal call, issued by the former DRC vice-president, Abdoulaye Yerodia Ndombasi and other government officials, who freely enjoy immunity from the DRC government until today.
We are sounding an alarm bell to arrest the leader of this anti-Tutsi extremist group before another horrible disaster strikes again. We call the governments of the Great Lakes region of Africa, particularly the DRC’s, the Government of South Africa and the U.S Government and the international community, to commonly take an immediate and urgent effective preventive action against this looming genocide.
This situation threats the safety and lives of the Tutsis, living in the Unites States. Failure to act against this call for Tutsi extermination makes the Congolese Tutsi community in the US worried about themselves as well as their families back in the Congo.
The international community should support the DRC government in insuring the dignity and humanity of all its citizens without discrimination. The DRC government should cease to turn deaf ear when Congolese Tutsi are terrorized, beaten, arrested or executed. The DRC government must also bring in trial, all of its current and former officials, who have joined or ordered abuse or killings against Tutsi. Trial of these official criminals will provide a sense of hope, safety and protection to the innocent unprotected Congolese Tutsi.
