Stop referring to Members of Parliament as Honourable

Increasingly we are seeing that our elected leaders, our Members of Parliament are behaving in a disgraceful manner, whether in speech or in action, whether in the Assembly or outside. The most recent case is of Mr Gaikwad assaulting an Air India official and being proud and arrogant of his act. It is time we stopped addressing them as "Honourable" Member of Parliament. We associate the word honourable with honourable behaviour and an act which evokes admiration and respect. This is sadly lacking in today's politiicians. The MPs can be addressed as Mr/Ms without adding Honourable which is so meaningless. They do not deserve the title. The title Honourable may be reserved for the Heads of State only, in particular, the President and the Prime MInister.
