Homework needs to stop. It is putting unnecessary pressure on students, and it barely even helps! In school, you gain experience using worksheets and activities. Homework is the equivalent of copying and pasting the work you did in school onto papers and sending children home with it. Worthless. If you want to drill something into a student's brain, do it in school with meaningful descriptions and challenging activities so they'd remember. Surely you don't want a "test after a test."

Secondly, after a long, tedious day of school, you want to chill out, do your extracurricular practices, then end the day with a nice early sleep. With homework, your time to relax is cut. There is barely enough time for your minimum outside-school activities. And some students staying past 8,9, or even 10 P.M. just to finish homework. At adulthood, you need to take care of much work, and homework is restraining the time for children to be children before they mature. Why do you not see kids playing in the park anymore, huh?

Thirdly, a child is pressured into doing it. They may become so obsessed with getting their homework in on time, that they are willing to sacrifice time anywhere to do it. Their resting time, their recess, their ride to school. Are we supposed to watch as students' happiness, comfort, and leisure time are swept away by this unnecessary event?

Finally, every student is assigned the same homework. It could always be too hard for one student and too easy for another. As Adam Smith said, "let it be." Let students choose what they want to learn at home so they have a maximum chance of improvement.

In conclusion, homework should be banned, as it should not be up to somebody else to choose what you do and learn at home. Put students' interests at heart before shoving extra work into their short childhood.
