Woolly Bay Ferry started this petition to The Premier of New South Wales and

In 1992, when the Greiner government sought tenders for the redevelopment of Woolloomooloo Bay, a ferry wharf was included in their proposal.  But then it got forgotten by the government.

In 2013, Gladys Berejiklian as NSW Transport Minister released the Future Ferry's Report which identified Woolloomooloo Bay as a priority future ferry wharf site. But nothing has come of that.

In 2019 building commences on the Sydney Modern extension to the Art Gallery of NSW, an addition which is likely to bring more people into Woolloomooloo Bay.

In 1992, Sydney's population was less than 3.8 million people. Today it is over 5 million. The city is groaning with traffic, but with little new parking. Woolloomooloo is serviced by a single bus route running only every half hour.

What Woolloomooloo needs now is the ferry service promised over 25 years ago.

And it doesn't need to be a new ferry service, just a new stop on the existing eastern suburbs route. A ferry can take commuters to work and bring tourists from Circular Quay around the Botanic Gardens to visit the Art Gallery, dine on the Finger Wharf and visit Sydney's oldest suburb.

Premier, we need you and your Transport Minister to deliver the ferry service to Woolloomooloo that has been promised for over 25 years.
