Cassidy Saylor started this petition to The PIAA

I play the game of basketball out of pure love, passion, and gratitude. I have cherished every season, every game, and every practice down to the last sprint because I know not everyone is blessed with the ability to compete. Unfortunately, I will be the one unable to compete this season. Not because of an injury or any other incapability, but because District 11 has deemed me ineligible. This deplorable decision was then backed by the PIAA. I, a young athlete who gives her all every day to be the best version of herself, am heartbroken over the situation. Easton HS contested and blocked my transfer on the basis of athletic intent; even though I announced my college commitment weeks before I applied to Bethlehem Catholic. The reason I transferred out of Easton was because I found myself struggling mentally. After many failed attempts at peace, I felt that the only solution was to distance myself from the environment which was causing my anguish. I want to play for my own happiness and also for my friends and family who find joy in my participation.

I ask for the support of any fellow players, parents, coaches, and all other individuals who are willing to fight for me. If you could, please provide a description of yourself attached to your signature (ex: “Freedom basketball player” or “Nazareth girls bball mom”). All support is appreciated beyond measure.
