Polar bears are going extinct, but little do people know they are vital to our environment. As one of the largest carnivore species they are known as a keystone species. In other words, they are a critical component to balancing our ecosystem. Without them we’d have the over population of whales, seals, rodents, birds, and more, we’d have absolutely no control. Global warming is one of the main issues causing polar bear extinction, as well as gas leaks. This is because of us. If we were more considerate of other living organisms other than just us polar bears wouldn’t be going extinct. Just like how you care about your family’s well being, polar bears are just as caring for their cubs and young.
