Make the Monday after Super-bowl a national holiday!
Every year the US holds Super-Bowl Sunday on the first Sunday of February. On this day, people indulge in large amounts of food, fun, and alcohol. There is a lot of energy going around, and football fans alike gather to cheer on their favorite football team. The next morning, some people are generally incapable of performing work duties. This is due to either exhaustion, being distraught over their team losing, drinking too much alcohol, or an ecstatic high from their team winning. If the Monday after Super-bowl were to be a national holiday, such that people do not have to go into work that day, people will be more apt and ready for a hard days work for the rest of the week. With people going into work that Monday, they tend to not do their best work for the rest of the week because of Super-Bowl Sunday. This drags down their attitude and causes them to not perform well for the week of work ahead. The Monday after Super-bowl needs to be a national holiday so that the American people can perform better at work for the remainder of the week.
