3 Waters

Nanaia Mahuta lied about Three Waters being a voluntary scheme. Even though most councils oppose the plan, Mahuta now says will simply force the new regime on local councils whether they like it or not. This means the compulsory confiscation of billions of dollars worth of water assets from local communities.

Make no mistake, Three Waters undermines democracy, will cost ratepayers, and mean the control of our water assets is totally unaccountable to ratepayers and voters. This will result in:

Higher Water Costs

Unnecessary Bureaucracy

No Local Control

Undemocratic control

The Government isn’t going back to councils or communities as promised. Instead, they are going to ram legislation through Parliament. So much for ensuring they would listen to local communities!

Climate Change

“China is an ally in the fight against climate change”. China! Really! ... "The Taniwha and the Dragon know that their eco system is rapidly experiencing change because of climate change.

China will be laughing.

Foreign Policy

When confronting China Mahuta believes there are wonderful similarities between the Chinese Dragon and the Taniwha. “Respect the Chinese dragon” … REALLY! This is a brutal dictatorship that has locked up a million muslims, threatened to invade Taiwan and surveils, monitors and tracks its citizens punishing them for any misdemeanour against Communist Chinese Party (CCP) policy. Dissidents spend long periods imprisoned or simply disappear.

Five Eyes

The Five Eyes is an intelligence alliance comprising Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. These countries are parties to the multilateral UKUSA Agreement, a treaty for joint cooperation in signals intelligence.

Statement from Mahuta … “We are uncomfortable with expanding the remit of the Five Eyes. We would prefer to look for multilateral opportunities to express our interests” … (China?).

Meaning ... New Zealand is leaving other democracies to fight for our freedom while we mean to suck up rewards from China for being a good and well behaved little South Pacific nation.
