Closing the Waterloo Park Petting Zoo

Closing the Waterloo Park Petting Zoo
Why this petition matters
Hello, My name is Serena and today my friend Jenny and I went on a walk to Waterloo Park where she was telling me about a petting zoo that was fully functional in the summer and early fall.
To our surprise there was a donkey, two lamas and a miniature horse left in the freezing cold with little to no shelter, entrainment or warmth. They looked depressed, sad and cold. In one of the pens there was a plastic container someone had littered by the lamas.
We tried looking for someone to talk to around the park, but there was no care taker to be found. We even called the city and was sent to multiple people only to left with a voicemail and no call back from The City of Waterloo.
We left hoping for a call back but received nothing. Soon after in to the night we retuned back to Waterloo Park to check on the animals and nothing had changed.
The litter was still there and they were not put away in a shelter for warmth. We called and filed a complaint with animal emergency services and are hoping to hear soon good news soon.
I do not want this park to remain open and neither should you. They do not deserve a second chance. Animals should not be in solitary confinement either. Waterloo Park Petting zoo needs to be closed down for inhumane treatment and failure to take care of animals.
