Columbus day, was never a day that should have been celebrated in the first place. This day is deeply rooted in racism and land being stolen from indigenous people that already existed here. Columbus was an evil tyrant that exploited children and women sexually, brutality was his signature in every facet of his daily life. No such things should be celebrated, this day should be reserved for the original people of America, the indigenous people that have been marginalized and displaced for centuries. All he did was steal land for the Spanish monarchy. Let's make this change because we should not be celebrating someone who tortured human beings for fun.
