The Constitution of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, The Finance Administration Act 2004 and The Audit Act 2005 require that there be Parliamentary Accountability for the use of monies appropriated by Parliament; and that such Accountability must be by way of audited statements approved by the Director of Audit and laid before the Parliament of St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines, whose legitimacy is questioned, because of allegations of elections fraud and as a consequence there are two election petitions currently before the court, is refusing to lay before Parliament audited accounts of how such appropriated monies of the tax payers were spent.
