We currently schedule Easter based on full moons and vernal exuinoxes etc.  This means Easter may be anytime in March or April.  Considering the calendar used by the western world has changed a few times throughout history, and considering the Jewish passover is based on a Lunar calendar I’m not sure anyone really has a clue what an appropriate date is to observe and celebrate Easter.  We could choose the first Sunday in April but eventually Easter would be on April Fools day... and, well... no.  So last Sunday of March it is! 

Each year Believers around the world observe Lent, Holy Week and a host of activities all related to Easter.  Those who only participate in the secular aspects still love having egg hunts and gathering with family.  This is a MAJOR event worldwide.  It would simplify so much if we observed this special day on the same Sunday every year like we do Mother’s Day, Father’s Day etc.
We don’t have a clue when Jesus was born and we really don’t seem to care.  A log time ago we just let a Pope pick a day and that was that.  Let’s unite, Believers and non, and choose the last Sunday in March for Easter.
