Elisha Lene Ogunfeyimi started this petition to THE OLUGBO OF IGBOLAND and

The ONLY church building in Abe-Ugbonla Christian community in Ilaje, Ondo State, was demolished by a traditional ruler for no reason. The people of the community and their pastor no longer have access to a place of worship. This is an abuse and an infringement on the right to worship.

We want the Church building reconstructed immediately and let the community people resume their everyday worship lifestyle.

COULD THIS BE THE ACTUAL PLAN; TO ERADICATE CHRISTIANITY IN THE UGBONLA COMMUNITIES?

The building in these two photos is the same.

People make history differently, which is primarily informed by what lies on their inside; good, bad, or ugly intentions.

These two photos are highly symbolic. The first was taken in 1989, where Baba Lene was gathered with trained C & S Church of Zion theology students for their Water Baptism.

The second photo was taken in 2020. It is the same building where the water baptism was conducted in 1989 but was demolished in 2020 by one Mr. Ajimosun for a reason still unknown to the community.

Again, this is highly symbolic. Abe-Ugbonla is a Christian community founded by Baba Lene. It has a single church building, just like the headquarter Church in Ugbonla. The man that is reported to have been appointed as the Baale ( a traditional office in a Christian community) instructed the demolition of the ONLY CHURCH BUILDING IN ABE-UGBONLA.

My concern is this: could this be the intention for the incursion of traditional practices into these Christian communities, TO ERADICATE THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IN OUR LANDS?
