I love the original name of public places and the reasons they were named that. Changing the name for whatever reason, like politics or favors or corporations just isn't a reason to subjectively name places.

Absolutely NO reason to change the beautiful original name of The Tappan Zee Bridge after any late Politician! This is completely unnecessary and we the people would like it to stay the same!
