Provide supermarket food vouchers for people with coeliac disease
So many people with coeliac disease are restricted with what foods they can have, due to the disease and financial reasons. Although the NHS provides necessities such as bread and flour, I believe they should enjoy the same luxuries as others for no further cost. Growing up with my sister, since her diagnosis, it has been hard eating things she once could in front of her, knowing she will never be able to have them again. And, now there are a lot more gluten-free substitutes out there, the issue becomes cost. Many people choose to become gluten-free but, people like my sister, have no choice as their bodies are intolerant to it, this is why I am petitioning for people with coeliac to have vouchers that they can spend on their choice of gluten-free foods in supermarkets. By introducing this kind of support, individuals with coeliac will be able to have a gluten-free balanced diet for no extra cost.
