Black lives matter started this petition to The Municipality for the City of Cape Town and

Over the past few months the Municipality for the City of Cape Town ("the City") has shown it's dedication in evicting black people living in informal settlements around the Western Cape. Despite courts of law not issuing eviction orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the poorest of the poor continue to be evicted. Recently there is a video circulating on social media showing a man ( of African origin) being evicted from his shack naked. Despite the man not being a danger, law enforcement officers are seen in the video assaulting the man and demolishing his shack. We say enough is enough. The right to human dignity is a Constitutional right afforded to all citizens of the Republic of South Africa.
