Please have an urgent look at the code for leasing Business Premises in England and Wales 2007 which is not fit for purpose . Specifically why are retailers who have spent their working lives building up a business then denied the right to buy their premises by unscrupulous landlords and their advisors . High streets are the life blood of local communities so please let's take them seriously . Shopkeepers who keep the High Street alive are being attacked by the "click and collect" model , business rates jumps and endless upward only rent increases designed for Victorian landlords. One of the ways shopkeepers can survive is to have a much greater control over their rents by being given a fair chance to buy their premises just like residential "Right to buy rules". Presently this is denied to shopkeepers   and there is nowhere to complain . Shops may have served the community for decades but in the eyes of lawyers that counts for nothing , this cannot be just , there has to be a right of first refusal for shopkeepers  if their premises  come up for sale . Remember that when rents go up prices will surely follow and that cannot be fair to the whole community !
