Restore humanity. Bring in an Anti-Lynching Law

India has seen a horrific transformation where some people have suddenly transformed into wild beasts. They have lost all sanity, and have forgotten that they are humans. Believing in false rumours, these people suddenly turn into a mob of lynchers. They take the high moral ground as if they have the self acquired right to try an accused. This phenomenon is seen all over India. Intolerance is growing and the excuse can be any topic like a cow, religion, caste, love marriage, Valentine's Day celebration, a rationalist or simply someone who has a different view.
The sad part is that ministers are supporting these killers and the Police too have joined in protecting a "cow" instead of a human. This is a shameful, disgraceful attitude and this has to change. We as fellow humans, cannot keep quite or else we too become a silent participant in the crime.
The Indian Penal code should be amended to define mob lynching as murder and all participants as accomplice. All officers of the rank of DCP, Addtional Commissioner of Police and the Supperintent of Police should be held accountable for any episode of mob-lynching in their jurisdiction. The National human rights commission should suo motto take up such cases for further action.
The Ministry of home Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice, National Human Rights Commission can make these changes happen. Amnesty International can build up International pressure on the Indian Government to bring about a change.
