Stop Metropolitan Water District's War on the San Francisco Bay Delta

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) is voting on April 10th whether to fund the building of one or two massive tunnels to divert a large portion of the freshwater inflows out of the San Francisco Bay Delta. The Delta Tunnels project (a.k.a. "California WaterFix") is a $16 billion+ project would take more than a decade to build and would devastate the Delta communities and ecology. MWD should not participate in this destructive project, which would create a permanent war over Northern California's water. Instead, MWD should commit to sustainable solutions that increase local self-sufficiency while at the same time responsibly using water that must be exported from elsewhere.
