Many Americans, myself included have spent the past few years listening to the divisive rhetoric coming from the White House.  This has only served to tear apart our ‘United’ states.

Life.  Liberty.  The pursuit of Happiness.  These are the words that begin the contract we made with our elected officials.  We have no chance to pursue these ideals if we are under constant threats from our government and fellow Americans.  We are Americans.  We are not a party, we are humans.  As humans we can attempt to change those things that divide us.  We can attempt to do better.  We can save the future.

The recent election has polarized this nation more than ever.  We are stressed and wake up worrying what horrible event will happen to hurt everything we have held dear.  The current administration has fought the results and caused a circus like atmosphere to surround the very basis of our democracy.  They appear to be planning an event at the same moment we would be participating in honoring the a new administration.

If the media plays into the impending circus they are benefiting those who are attempting to shatter our great union.  It is time to heal.  It is time to eulogize the past.  The world is turning into a new light and we can make the difference.

I would like to ask the media blackout any attempt to grandstand during the Inauguration of President Elect Joseph Biden.  Show it later.  Do not destroy this inauguration with televised theatrics. Though this year will be different than anything in our past, it is still an important ceremony that  has been marked like New Year’s Day.  We are saying goodbye to the past and looking into a future that has infinite possibilities.

Please consider signing and sending requests to media outlets.

Thank you.
