New Wave Gymnastics is a family owned small business that is a member of USA Gymnastics which is the governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the United States, consistent with the Ted Stevens Olympic & Amateur Sports Act, the ByLaws of the United States Olympic Committee and the International Gymnastics Federation.

Due to COVID-19, NWG has been mandated to close the doors to all recreational students as well as our trained Junior Olympic competitive athletes and future competitive athletes. Many of our Junior Olympic athletes have been training and preparing for hopeful college scholarships for as many as 14 hours a week in addition to their schooling. As of today, May 2, 2020 our athletes have now not had the ability to train for a total of 7 weeks, including spring break. We believe that their training is incredibly essential for their future goals and with the guidance and specific sanitizing and social distancing guidelines provided by USAG we have confidence that we can operate team and pre-team practices with these strict rules that will protect the athletes from COVID-19.

If these athletes are granted permission to practice, sooner, not later, it could keep their future goals that they have worked so hard for from dwindling. Each day makes a difference.
