Help us save the L. Frazier Banks High School from the "Demolition Wrecking Ball" This is a Historical School built in 1957.
This petition will be delivered to: The Mayor and City Council of the City of Birmingham, Alabama. We the undersigned are in full support of the revitalization of the former Banks Middle School to be the site of the Goal Institute of the Construction Technology and the Arts Inc. (GICTA).  We believe that the Birmingham City Government, its officials, former Banks alumni and concerned should take all measures both financially through contributions and community efforts to make this project a reality. The long-term plan is to provide the opportunity for people of all ages, creeds and walks of life the education in the building trades, architecture and the creative arts. As a benefit of this Institute of Higher Learning the students will be called into service to help in the restoration of old housing stock and vacant lots.  And also create Skilled Labor Jobs.
