The RoxyTheatre Action Group is made up of theatre practitioners and historians, as well as local community members who want this irreplaceable historic icon returned to its original 1600 seat Stalls/Dress Circle configuration, and given the back-of-house facilities that will establish the Roxy as a major world-standard commercial theatre, capable of staging blockbuster musicals, rock concerts, opera and ballet, and all manner of diverse cultural events. In its prime location in the heart of the proposed Civic Link, the Roxy will be to Parramatta what the Sydney Town Hall is to Sydney - its central civic hall in its civic heart.
The Roxy Theatre Action Group urges both Local and State Governments to offer incentives to the owner to give the Roxy back to the people of Parramatta to enjoy and to treasure.
