KC to ban excessively sloping backs in German Shepherd Dogs

From the debates surfacing following the German Shepherd Dog Best of Breed being crowned at Crufts 2016 this is a petition for The Kennel Club Limited to ban the breeding and showing of German Shepherd Dogs with excessively sloping backs.
The German Shepherd as we know today was developed in the late 1800's as a herding dog. As their need diminished they were taken up by the Military and the police with 48,000 being used in the First World War alone.
The Kennel Club Breed Standard states: The topline runs without any visible break from the set on of the neck, over the well defined withers, falling away slightly in a straight line to the gently sloping croup. The back is firm, strong and well muscled. Loin broad, strong, well muscled. Weak, soft and roach backs undesirable and should be heavily penalised. Croup slightly sloping and without any break in the topline, merges imperceptibly with the set on of the tail. Short, steep or flat croups highly undesirable. Hind angulation sufficient if imaginary line dropped from point of buttocks cuts through lower thigh just in front of hock, continuing down slightly in front of hindfeet. Versatile working dog, balanced and free from exaggeration. Attentive, alert, resilient and tireless with keen scenting ability. Clear definition of masculinity and femininity essential, and working ability never sacrificed for mere beauty.
This petition is for The Kennel Club to ban the breeding and showing of GSD's with excessively sloping backs to prevent further breeding of animals who are predisposed to hip and joint issues, moving further away from the working dog they were developed as.
