Bring back the undergraduate stole for JHU graduation 2017
This petition had 540 supporters
The Johns Hopkins University has decided to remove the stole from the undergraduate graduation regalia. This matter came to my attention as a few of my fellow undergraduates and myself were ordering our caps and gowns.
When we realized that the stole would not be included in undergraduate regalia for this year, we were furious. All of us in the Class of 2017 have worked so hard at this university and have looked forward to wearing this iconic piece of regalia when we graduated.
It is irresponsible for the University to make a decision that would impact the entire student body, with little to no input from the students. I must ask you this. Why did the university make this decision? On what grounds was this decided?
If you feel the University should reconsider their decision to remove the stole from the graduation regalia this year, please sign this petition so that the Class of 2017 will have the opportunity to wear this iconic piece of regalia.
