The Bahamian people entrust their government's to lead the country and try to solve the problems that affect it and their lives. However, many people often feel that their dire issues are not being solved and feel that there is a lack of proper and effective communication between people and state.

This petition calls on the Government of the Bahamas, to implement a proper channel of communication from people to state via an Online Government/Parliament Petitions System.

Such systems have been created in the UK, Australia, and Canada, allowing residents to easily request action or in short a response from Parliament for various issues. This also allows the Government to evaluate which issues are most pressing to its citizens and to act accordingly with that information.

By supporting, signing, and sharing this petition you strengthen the democratic values of the Bahamas, allowing more positive changes in the country. You also enable The Parliament and Government of The Bahamas to legislate or introduce change based on the popular concerns of the Bahamian people. 

The Bahamas as a Westminster System democracy needs to desperately reform, its procedure by introducing this Petition System to avoid falling behind and decaying as democratic state compared to our fellow Westminster peers.
