For years the intersection at Connelly Blvd. and Spencer Ave. in Sharon has been one of the most dangerous intersections in Sharon, PA.  Those living in the area have witnessed first-hand terrible accidents, injuries and, unfortunately, deaths as a result of this dangerous intersection. 

Recently, PennDOT has put up a "No Turn On Red" sign at the intersection.  While appreciated, this is not enough.  Motorists turning on red on to Connelly Boulevard is not the problem.  The problem lies in that motorist are traveling westbound and not seeing the light due to the curve of the road and due to trees and a hillside which obscures all view of the Spencer Ave intersection after passing Service Avenue.   

We petition PennDOT and The City of Sharon to consider changing these intersections and the lights to protect drivers and pedestrians.  There is no reason that anyone else needs to die needlessly.
