Why this petition matters

Started by Fredrisha Dixon

As many of you know, the live broadcast to the Inglewood City Council Meeting on March 1, 2022 was disconnected after 6 seconds, preventing the public from participating in the city council meeting, viewing the City Council's Draft Map, and making comments regarding the redistricting of our District Maps. It is also alleged that the City Council took a vote in the absence of the public but we are unable to confirm or deny this because the City of Inglewood has failed to post the City Council Meeting online with audio. These actions are a violation of the Ralph M. Brown Act and should be taken serious.

Because of this, Inglewood residents have gathered to draft a Cure and Correct Letter which will be submitted to the City Council on March 7, 2022. If you have grown tired of the corruption, disregard for the well being of our community members, and refusal of this legislative body to allow Inglewood residents to participate in matters pertaining to our city, please sign this petition. After you sing this petition, please send it to you family, friends, and loved ones to sign too.

It is time for the People of Inglewood to let their voices be heard. We have been disrespected, overlooked, and treated as if we aren't intelligent enough to recognize the corruption of our Mayor and Legislative Body long enough. It is time for change now!
