13 year old raped by police officers at the police station in Sundargarh, Odisha”

“Father son duo (Jayraj and Bennix) died at a hospital in Kovilpatti as subjects to severe police torture”

“Police brutality during the first few phases of the lockdown reportedly led to 12 deaths”

These are only few of the top headlines regarding police brutality in India.

Anand Chandra Majhi, the inspector-in-charge of Biramitrapur , along with other officials raped a 13 year old girl over a period of 4 months and then tried to abort her foetus. The girl had simply come to witness a fair in the  area on March 25th, however it was cancelled due to the lockdown.

On her way back, a police patrolling team forced her into the police station and brutally raped her. She was dropped at her home the next day nevertheless she was called to the police station and raped regularly.

These rapists are still out there because of police privilege and are still a threat to our society.

This time an apologetic tweet won’t cut it.

NO JUSTICE.

NO PEACE.
