I’On is an amazing place to live and play and is recognized as one of the best neighborhoods in America.
But some residents and the Board are considering a new rule (one of many they seem to promulgate) banning our residents and guests from enjoying our favorite parks and trails with our canine companions.
Families should be able to walk and play with their dogs throughout the neighborhood and in all the parks (except the play parks where they are not allowed).
Residents and our guests should get to enjoy the beauty of all parks with their pets.
People considering a move to I’On often look at what amenities are available for their pets. I’On does a great job of welcoming newcomers, and that should include the family dog.
It's clear that dogs are becoming a major part of not only our culture, but our economy. Local veterinarians, trainers, groomers, pet walkers and pet stores would agree. It is for these reasons and more, that we respectfully ask that the Ion Assembly NOT consider placing restrictions on pets in our parks.
If cities and neighborhoods throughout the country can handle having dogs in parks, we know I’On can, too. With the neighborhood’s cooperation, and effort and commitment from dog owners to be responsible, I’On can continue to be a great place to live and play – for people and dogs.
