My brother Carlos Demata, a father of three and Captain, has been detained alongside his crew by the Houthi Group occupying Yemen. The seizure of the ship has unfortunately become a political issue between UEA, the Houthi group, Saudi and Iran.
Up until now, my family and I haven’t received any information on the condition of my brother and his crew as well as their whereabouts.
I would like to request those in charge of the Houthi group to release the crew and my brother safely. I believe that in my heart of hearts that all anyone really wants is for them to go back to their families and for said families to have confirmation and communication with the crew while they are detained.
