Pro-Remain peers to resign their parties' whips before vote on Article 50.

This petition had 210 supporters

In the House of Commons MPs were forced into compliance with the Government's policy of self-destruction by three-line whips.

To avoid this situation arising in the Upper House all pro-Remain peers should resign their parties' whips and become cross-benchers to circumvent the whipping process.

This will help to ensure a free and fair vote on the Government's despotic Article 50 proposals.

Peers will thus be free to exercise their best judgment in the national interest.
