Why this petition matters

Started by Argyle Barclay

Our brave men and women sacrificed everything to protect the values we cherish as a democratic country. The fact that people decide to disrespect this is sickening and they should be punished for it. Examples of disruption could be, shouting or making intentional noises during a silence to remember those who fought and died, or desecrating the sites of Rememberance. I am not saying we should criminalise disagreeing with Rememberance day, but disrupting a service to remember those who fought and died is simply unacceptable. The British government should make it a criminal offence to intentionally disrupt a service to remember our soldiers.
