Why this Petition?
Jun 5, 2013 — Somebody asked to be permitted to launch a Parliamentary e-petition but was denied. This was an attempt, by Parliament, to stifle the democratic principle. Well, we will not be silenced! We have the democratic right to be heard and to voice our anger. George Rolph is on a hunger strike in protest at cuts to benefits, The media has, to its collective shame, chosen to ignore this important undertaking being made by George. E-mails and messages to the BBC have been ignored, postings on their Facebook page have been deleted. We are not a revolutionary people, but we do cherish fair play.
