House Adelaide's Homeless in the old RAH

There is a purpose built, 12 story short-term accommodation building contained within the old RAH site that will be demolished along with many of the other buildings. Rather than knock it down, this building could be used to provide short term accommodation to all those families and individuals who can't get a bed in existing shelters. No-one in Adelaide need ever have to sleep rough again!
Once these people have a roof over their head, work can begin in finding more permanent accommodation. The building is big enough to house individuals, families and could run different programs for different target groups. It even has a crèche!
This building already exists, it is a "state owned" asset, and could be used immediately once the new RAH opens. It would cost virtually nothing to set up for it's new purpose and it would change the lives of those people it housed.
We can't let the government just knock it down. It would be such a waste, when there is such a need.
