Eliminate unnecessary front licence plates in Ontario and save tax payers money!

Currently the requirement for rear and front vehicle plates increases registration/permit cost for Ontario residents. Switching to a single rear licence plate system would still afford ease of identification for reasons such as tolls, photo radar and police traffic stops; however, it would drastically reduce costs by reducing the amount of materials and expenses associated with production by 50% which could potentially result in large savings for the province and the taxpayers. Replacement costs would also carry future savings as only one plate needs replacement when faded, lost or stolen. These savings could then be passed on to Ontario taxpayers through reduction of registration fees and permit renewal costs.
