The ADHD Initiative
The ADHD Initiative is advocating for training for professionals of the education sector to be better equipped to teach/interact with ADHD children in schools and understand how this disability works, to improve student’s engagement and help provide a better experience for them when in the educational system and consequently a better future.
Aim
- Advocate for the introduction of better training for teachers, that will help them understand what is ADHD and how to better work and teach/interact with children that has this condition so they can flourish and have a bright future.
Outcome
- Create change into the educational system to better accommodate and improve the experience of students affected by ADHD.
Objectives
- Promote awareness about what ADHD is and how does a child that is affected by it differs from a “normal child” on the educational setting.
- Raise the understanding of the educational sector on how to better work with children that have this condition.
- Advocate for better training to equip teachers with tools (knowledge) to improve the learning experience of children that have the disability.
