I oppose this ban in cultivation for those in need of the herb for medicinal use. The law in California allows those with their permits up to date and their doctor's note to grow it as it is the most economical access to the herb. Those that passed this ridiculous bill in Simi Valley, have no right to take away our rights, this is another stretch of their authority being forced on the community. I have lived here for thirty seven years, knowing that the people in city hall ran the city for the most part, very conservatively, but now, they also want to control what grows in MY backyard. This is nobody's business but mine as long no laws are broken, and it is insulting to me, that representatives we vote in to make decisions to benefit the community, would treat anyone that uses medicinal marijuana like a criminal. I lived with back pain since my mid twenties and few accidents made it worse. I can get any pain medication I may need, as a matter of fact I have, but the meds wear off, the pain is right back, and just as bad as before the medication was taken. Night time is for sleeping, having to get up in the middle of the night because the pain is back, and you need MORE pain medication, is no fun at all. These medications are more harmful to our health and more addictive than cannabis is.

Some medicines are more expensive than others & medical marijuana is one of those medicines. People on a fixed income cannot afford all of the prescribed/recommended meds they need. I am one of those people. I have never grown marijuana but, I believe disabled people should have the right to grow a very small number of plants for personal consumption only. Show some compassion to those who are suffering

This is our right as Americans that should never have been illegal in the first place and was only made illegal to try to get rid of mexican immigrants years ago.

I am sick and tired of politicians in Simi Valley wasting our tax payers money on stupid alliances just so that they can make themselves look proper. They closed schools because of lack of money and gave themselves a good raise instead. This is how they govern in Simi. There is no money to clean the toxics NASA left behind, people have been fighting for years to get the area cleaned but our council is too busy picking on the sick. Our chief of police has made derogatory statements in regards to those with a police record indicating that once a criminal, always a criminal. Is this what we want? I don't. Our city councilmen are a disgrace to the community. They should be ashamed of themselves. I will post this on MSNBC once done here. All it takes is one voice.
