Refurbish the Bethania- Beaudesert Railway

We the undersigned recognise that the communities of Beaudesert, Flagstone Creek , Jimboomba and Yarrabilba have outgrown the road infrastructure in place and understand that time and money are required to rectify this.
The traffic on the Mount Lindsay Highway and Waterford -Tambourine Road is absolutely at saturation point at most times during the day with existing roads unable to clear traffic at speeds above walking pace the exception during peak times.
We are well aware that the Bethania- Beaudesert railway line was refurbished in 2004 and used for a short period for tourist steam excursions.
We propose that the existing railway and stations at Beaudesert and Logan Village be restored and additional stations at Jimboomba and other places as needed be added to take approximately two hundred vehicles per train trip from the existing roads.
We acknowledge that the line is not electrified and propose that the 24 maintained and stored Railmotors held by Queensland Rail be put into service on this line.
