Not only should it be kept in private health insurance it should be added to DVA to be administered by qualified remedial massage therapists or myotherapists (not Physio or Chiro who have limited palpation and massage skills as it is at the moment)

I'm signing because massage is one of the best preventative therapies for promoting health and wellbeing within the physical and emotional bodies. It is unbelievable that the government would even consider removing this rebate. Whoever is in charge really needs to improve their understanding about the holistic nature of the body, and stop making decisions based on ignorance.

massage does fill the gaps in the medical sysem, also they often are the first to pick up on untreated issuesand and encourage clients to see thier gp or specialist . Also it is preventative medicine that will save he government money in the long run ! Thank you for listening . Penelope .

This is a vital, non intrusive, drug free treatment that is essential as our population ages. I depend on massage therapy to treat various conditions which allows me to continue working. Please Leave this cover in place.

As a remedial massage therapist who has specialised in lymphoedema therapy, my treatments are standard medical protocol for managing lymphoedema. The clear evidence base for lymphatic drainage, and indeed all remedial massage should support its retention as a therapy covered by private health fund rebates.
