UK citizenship by birth (An Appeal)
0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!
I was born in the UK and removed by my parents as a child.
Since then I have returned on my own as a visitor and a student since 2008
Sadly I have been told to report to the Home Office every two weeks and sign as I was not properly registered by my parents who gained indefinite leave to remain in the country after my birth.
My ties to England have definitely grown much stronger than my ties ever where in Nigeria and for the first time in my life I have friends and can nurture my creative talents and be a good contributor to society.
All I ask is that you please allow us born in this country to gain legal right to be called its citizens and be allowed to work to support ourselves.
For over two years I have not been allowed to work or claim benefits. There is only so much support friends and family can give. And as is humanly expected we are all tired of my being a liability based on my continued status of unemployment. My mental health has also greatly deteriorated over the passed few months.
Please sign this petition to help me and thousands like me living in limbo to get our lives back.
