I have a beagle, am a vegetarian and believe that our fellow animals have the same rights as we do

If the government really believe that animal testing is effective they should be willing to answer the questions to prove us all wrong and put this to rest. The fact we have to sign a petition to make this happen proves that they are too scared to be confronted and don’t want us to know the truth!

Because living beings are not mere `research tools'. If animal experiments had glass walls people would not be happy contributing to such cruelty.

This Inquiry must take place while Norman Baker is still at the Home Office. In the past, when the Lib Dems were not in gov he had a good attitude to animal issues. He has also started an online consultation on the repeal of the secrecy clause. See the NAVS website for advice on completing it.

Innocent animals suffering . Why not test things on people in prison I'm sure there's enough of them
