The Hidden Effects of Road Salt

0 have signed. Let’s get to 5,000!

We use over 20 million tons of road salt each year and where does it go when you put it on the road? It goes into the soil and waterways! Which is a big problem as road salt can not only kill marine animals but can change soil composition and kill plants. We can all change  this by raising enough awareness so the government can use an environmentally friendly deicer instead of this toxic road salt. Even if we fail we can all reduce the use of road salt or use a more environmentally safe deicer that will only cost a little bit more. Please, save the environment.
