Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram)

A recent case has baffled the minds of many wherein a 25 year old ambulance driver, NOUFAL , of the 108 emergency ambulance service allegedly raped a 19 year old RAPE SURVIVOR . She was a Covid-19 patient. The accused raped the young woman while on the way to the hospital in Kerala's Pathanamthitta i.e about 100 km north of capital Thiruvananthapuram.

Reportedly , the incident took place last night i.e on the 5th of September when the accused was taking 2 patients , an elderly woman and the 19 year old RAPE SURVIVOR to different hospitals in the ambulance

First , the elderly woman was dropped off by the driver after which the 19 year old woman was to be taken to the hospital in Pandalam.

INSTEAD , the ambulance driver diverted the vehicle towards an empty ground and raped the young woman amidst the darkness and silence of the night.

The police also stated that he is also an accused in an ATTEMPT TO MURDER CASE registered in 2019 .

So , basically , the condition of our country is such that criminal suspects are being hired to fulfill "EMERGENCY SERVICES

What I feel is that keeping this case in mind , The Health Ministry of India should make it compulsory to put panic buttons inside of ambulances all over India which are well within the patients' reach . This step , if taken, can drastically reduce such kinds of mishaps going on in the country .
