The WRDSB school board has been letting homo/transphobia and racism get brushed away. I refuse to keep letting it happen. I’m a 13 year old attending West Heights Public school, and I’ve informed many people about the hate-crimes i’ve experienced, this included; telling teachers, principals, and emailing the board itself. And yet, nothing happened. They let this behavior continue. I shouldn’t be scared to go on my front lawn, I shouldn’t be scared to walk home after school, I shouldn’t be scared of the classmates I attend school with, just because I’m transgender and Native. Not to mention how many students get away with saying slurs, or racist terms. It’s disgusting.
