This is to bring to the attention the unstructured and poor sanitary condition of scrap/metal dealers and blacksmiths at Agbogbloshie in Accra.

Their activities play a significant roles in the economy of Ghana through the creation of small scale job opportunities for Ghanaians and non Ghanaians,production of made in Ghana goods such as coal pot , baking ovens,cooking burners and other house hold utensils.

Despite their contributions, the state has done little to organize and structure their activities hence the poor sanitary conditions prevailing at the place.Their activities impact negatively on other occupants and users.

On behalf of the metal dealers , inhabitants of Agbogbloshie market and its environs and concern citizens are pleading with government through the Regional Minister and Trade and Industry Ministry to restructure and modify their activities and improve upon the sanitary conditions at the place.
